Many of Scotland's best producers of arts, crafts, fashion and food delicacies will be there so don't miss out what is sure to be a fantastic shopping event!
The GrassMarkets will also feature live entertainment: a programme of soft summer music. The markets will operate from 12 noon till 6pm.

Glasgow's Hidden Lane

Hidden Lane Cafe
After our knitting meetup in Kelvingrove Museum yesterday we decided to go on a little treasure hunt. I had heard quite a bit about about Glasgow's Hidden Lane studios and cafe so we decided, that as it was only a few blocks away and we weren't yet completely full of tea or cake, to track it down.
We were so delighted with our discovery that I had to pass on the secret of this amazing urban space and to let you know about the Hidden Lane open day from 12-5 Saturday 20 June, part of the West End Festival.
The Hidden Lane is home to a diverse collection of artists, creative people and a wonderful café gallery. Located within the large area enclosed by the surrounding traditional terraced buildings in the heart of the West End at 1103 Argyle Street, Glasgow, Scotland. The entrance to the lane is marked only by 1103 and there is no other clue as to what delights are in store as you walk down a fairly non-descript allyway to emerge into a delightful array of brightly painted studios!
Programmed as part of Glasgow's West End Festival 2009, enjoy an eclectic all day programme of open studios, art, design, live bands, dance & performance, DJ's, fashion, photography and all day food and drinks!
As for the Kelvingrove knitting group, we have sort of decided to move venue to the Hidden Cafe for our next Sunday outing, Sunday July 5. So seek out the Hidden Cafe and join us for tea, cakes and knitting from 1 pm on July 5! For more information see http://thehiddenlane.co.uk
