Glisten! The Christmas GrassMarket

From Thurs 17th December to Tues 22nd December (11am - 6pm) Edinburgh's vibrant Grassmarket will be home this Christmas to an exciting new market for Scotland's leading makers, artists and craftspeople.

Open for six days the market will provide the opportunity for quality makers across Scotland to showcase their work in a glistening marquee in the centre of the Grassmarket. The perfect place for that unique Christmas find.

An eclectic mix of work will be on show with many different artists each day: including Scotland's last remaining hand shoe and clog maker, Godfrey Smith; Ceramics artist, Cosima Sempill who reinvents 1950s crockery; the launch of "Made By" a book by Andy Murray, a user guide for how to make your own bag from that old tea towel; beautifully handcrafted wooden turned vessels and bowls by Angus Clyne; homemade cakes from Demeter Baking; amongst many others. There will be a full range of homewares, textiles, painting, fine art, clothing, furniture, classy craft, secondhand vinyl and many other gifts all with a vintage and recycled slant.
