Learn to Knit and Crochet!
Sun 18th May 2008
Summer is for knitting!
Knitting and crochet courses are now in full swing in our Glasgow and Edinburgh shops!
In Glasgow we combine our ever popular courses with our regular West End meetup, Big Knit Out! The result is a cozy cafe filled with knitters and crocheters with possibly the best scones you'll ever taste (especially the goat’s cheese and roasted red pepper scones invented by our lovely Rik) and certainly the best coffee in the West End.
Summer is for handbags to be sure and this summer you can learn to knit or crochet by making one of our fantastic bag projects. Learn to crochet with Susan, our resident crochet instructor. She will introduce you to the art of crochet through easy steps to the creation of her wonderful crocheted bag that actually buttons up into a wee purse to carry around on those summer shopping sprees (see picture on our classes page)!
If knitting is your desire then join us for our ever popular knitted and felted bowl course (see picture above). Knit out of pure wool and then felted in your own washing machine, this is the perfect learn to knit course (all those wee first time mistakes will be felted away!).
In Edinburgh join the lovely Ysolda, knitting designer and genius, as she leads you into the world of knitting!. Ysolda's sell out courses are for absolute beginners! This summer she has designed a charming hat (pictured on our classes page). The one price includes 2 classes and absolutely all of your materials!
Also in Edinburgh, Vala Dora Jonsdottir is beginning a brand new series of crochet courses for beginners! These courses are designed for individuals who have never crocheted before! All of the materials are included and all of our classes are on Sunday afternoons in our Edinburgh shop! See our classes page now for more details!
