K1 Yarns would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has knit and donated a George the Gingerbread Man to our CHILDREN'S 1ST!
We now have a selection of charming and beautifully knitted Gingerbread Man Christmas ornaments for sale in our Edinburgh and Glasgow shops! The Gingerbread Man ornaments are only £5 and the proceeds are donated to CHILDREN 1ST. They make a perfect stocking stuffer or secret Santa gift!
Congratulations to Anja Gunderloch, winner of our George the Gingerbread Man prize draw! Anja knitted and donated 7 Georges (now for sale in our Glasgow shop) to our fundraiser appeal so we are very happy to announce her the winner of a free skein of Old Maiden Aunt's limited edition Gingerbread Yarn!
There are now only a few skeins of Old Maiden Aunt's Gingerbread yarn now left in our Glasgow and Edinburgh shops so please don't delay! Proceeds of the sale of Gingerbread Yarn will also go to CHILDREN 1ST.

Habu Day at K1 Yarns!
Exciting news for fans of the beautiful and highly unique Japanese yarns of Habu Textiles! K1 Yarns is hosting a Habu Trunkshow and workshop, 1 day only:
K1 Yarns Knitting Boutique, 89 West Bow, Edinburgh EH1
Monday 24 November
11 am to 6 pm
Takako from Habu Textiles will be here in the shop all day with a wide array of Habu yarns, inclulding many not normally seen in the UK! In addition she will have all of her garment kits available, normally only available from Habu's New York studio!
Best of all, Takako will be holding 1 hour workshops throughout the day on Japanese knitting, Japanese pattern reading and how to knit with some of the more unusual Habu Yarns!
As workshop spaces are extremely limited we are accepting credit card bookings by phone (0131-226-7472) or in person at our Edinburgh shop. Please note that only paid bookings will be accepted for the workshops!
